Railofy WhatsApp number not working? How to check, and what to use instead
Only one thing settles it: send the message and see. We cannot tell you whether that number replies today, because we did not message it — and no page claiming to know has messaged it either. What we can show you is what happened to the rest of Railofy's presence on the web, and every route to a railway answer that does not depend on it.
Before anything else, rule out the dull explanations. A saved contact with a digit missing, a number saved without the country code, or a chat you muted months ago will all look exactly like a service that has stopped answering. Those are the common causes and they take ten seconds to eliminate.
The ten-second test, which beats any page on this subject
Open WhatsApp, start a new chat with the number as you have it written down, and send a plain hello. If the number is no longer a registered WhatsApp account, WhatsApp itself tells you so immediately — you will not be able to open a chat at all. That single result answers the question better than anything anyone can publish, including this page, because it is live and it is about your phone rather than someone else's.
If the chat opens and nothing comes back, wait properly before concluding anything. Automated services queue, and a reply that takes two minutes is not the same as no reply. Check that you have not archived or muted the thread, and check that you are messaging the number the service published rather than one copied from a forum post years old.
One more that catches people: a business number often answers only to a keyword or a menu choice, not to conversation. Sending a greeting and getting silence can mean the service wanted a number or a command instead, and said so in a first message you scrolled past.
What we could verify, and exactly how
We fetched Railofy's web addresses on 3 September 2026 and recorded what came back. On that date both railofy.com and www.railofy.com returned a page belonging to an unrelated online-gambling site, in Indonesian, rather than any train service. A second address, railofy.in, returned a near-empty placeholder built on a website builder, carrying a company name, a support email and nothing else.
That is the whole of what we checked, and it is worth being precise about what it does and does not mean. A lapsed or redirected domain is a fact about a domain. It is not a fact about a company, a bank account, a support desk or a phone number, all of which can outlive a website and often do. Domains are also recoverable, so anything written here may be out of date by the time you read it — which is the second reason to run the test above rather than trust the paragraph.
Railofy is operated by a real registered company in Mumbai that has taken outside investment and has been an IRCTC-authorised partner. Nothing on this page is a claim about that company's status, its solvency or its intentions. We fetched some web pages and we are telling you what was on them.
What we deliberately did not check
We did not message the number. We are a competing service, and a competitor announcing that a rival has gone dark is the least trustworthy sentence on the internet — it is unfalsifiable by the reader, it ages badly within days, and it would be a poor reason to trust us about anything else.
So this page does not say that number is dead, and you should be wary of any page that does without saying when it checked and how. Most results you will find for this question are news articles from two or three years ago, written when the service launched, still cheerfully telling you to message it. They are not reporting that it works today. They are simply old.
One thing that genuinely changed for WhatsApp bots this year
There is a real reason some WhatsApp services people had saved stopped replying during 2026, and it is worth knowing because it has nothing to do with any individual company failing. In January 2026 Meta changed what is allowed on the WhatsApp Business Platform and removed general-purpose AI assistants from it — the chat-with-an-AI products, several of which had large followings and disappeared from WhatsApp on the same day.
Structured services were not covered by that change. A bot that tracks an order, answers a support question, takes a booking or looks something up on request remained permitted, and most railway enquiry services fall on that side of the line. So this is not an explanation for any particular number going quiet. It is context for why 2026 was a year in which a saved WhatsApp service stopping was more common than usual, and why the cause is not always the company you saved.
What still works, in order of how little it asks of you
If your actual problem is that you need an answer about a train and the route you used has stopped giving you one, the useful part of this page starts here. None of these depends on any private company continuing to exist.
- 139 — the railway's own helpline. Call it and use the voice menu, or press the star key for a person. It also answers by SMS. It runs in twelve languages, needs no app, no account and no data connection, and works on a handset with no smartphone in it at all.
- A browser — the railway's own enquiry pages open without an account and will answer a status or ticket question. Least convenient on a phone, most complete.
- The station itself — the display boards, the announcements and the enquiry counter are free, current and authoritative in the one moment that matters most, which is when you are standing on the concourse.
- A chat service — several exist, including ours, and the honest case for them is the repeat question rather than the one-off.
The reason 139 leads that list rather than any app or chat is that it is the only one on it that cannot be discontinued by a startup. If the lesson of arriving at this page is that a saved number can stop answering, the sensible response is to know a route that does not belong to anybody who can go away.
If money is involved, treat it as a separate problem
A silent enquiry bot is an inconvenience. An unfulfilled paid order is not, and the two need different handling. If you have paid for something and not received it, stop trying to reach anyone through a chat window and start creating a record.
- Write to the support address published on whatever of the company's own site is still up, and keep a copy of what you sent and when.
- Keep the payment reference from your bank or UPI app. It is the only part of this that is independently verifiable later.
- If the order was never fulfilled, raise it with your bank or card issuer as a disputed transaction. There are time limits, so do it early rather than after another fortnight of waiting.
- If the booking was a rail ticket, remember that reserved tickets are issued by IRCTC and a cancellation or refund on a genuine ticket is handled through the railway's own process, not through whoever sold you the extras.
Do not send payment details, card numbers or one-time passwords into a chat to resolve this, whoever appears to be asking. A quiet service that suddenly becomes very responsive about your bank details is the shape of a different problem entirely.
The honest part
We build a WhatsApp service that answers railway enquiries, so you should read the paragraphs above knowing that. That is also precisely why this page does not tell you a competitor is finished: we cannot see their number from here, and a page that pretended otherwise would be worth less to you than the ten-second test in the second section.
If you do want a chat that answers railway questions, ours is TrainBot India and you can message it on WhatsApp without installing anything or signing up. It is free, it is not affiliated with Indian Railways or IRCTC, and it does not sell tickets — nobody in a chat window does. And whichever service you end up using, save 139 as well. It is the one that will still be there.
